Lei Zheng, M.D., Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Oncology and Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and plays a leading role on the team of physician-scientists at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Zheng graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Peking Union Medical College in China. He then obtained his PhD degree in Molecular Medicine from University of Texas. After he completed his medical residency and oncology fellowship training, he was recruited to the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Before he joined Johns Hopkins, he had already had extensive experience in cancer research and made many seminal contributions to this field.
